Description
Mackerel is elongated, flattened quite strongly on the sides, the body is not scaled except on the lateral line (the corselet plane is not clear). The snout is pointed, with a wide and sharp mouth, strong teeth in the upper and lower jaws. The snout length is shorter than the rest of the back of the head. Dorsal fin in two bundles, anterior with spines XIII – XXII (thorns). The dorsal and anal fins are followed by many additional small fins (finlets). In Bahasa we call “Tengiri Batang”
We process and supply frozen Spanish Mackerel. Most landings now tend to be small. Available from 1/2cm, 2/3cm, 3/5cm, 5/7cm, 7cm-up.
