Description
Kurisi fish is characterized by the shape of the mouth which is located slightly downward and the presence of tentacles located on its chin which are used to touch in searching for food. Characteristics of curry fish according to Ficcher & Whitehead (1974) in Siregar (1997) are small, slender and dense bodies. A type of terminal mouth with elongated teeth and canines in the upper jaw (sometimes also in the lower jaw). The front of the head is not scaly. Scales start from the edge of the front of the eye and cover the gills. Curisi fish body shape is elongated body, terminal mouth shape and nostrils are located on both sides of the snout, adjacent to each other.
