BOSTON – In order to increase exports of fishery products, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) participated in the Seafood Expo North America (SENA) which took place in Boston, United States (US), March 12-14, 2023.
SENA is the largest seafood exhibition in the Americas region and is attended by more than 50 countries with visitor profiles including importers, processors, wholesalers, distributors, caterers, food service, grocery, manufacturing and other seafood industry professionals.
“Indonesia’s participation in this exhibition is a concrete step by the KKP in strengthening the export market and branding of fishery products,” said Acting Director General of Strengthening the Competitiveness of Marine and Fishery Products (PDSPKP), Ishartini through her written statement, Tuesday (14/3).
Not only participating in the exhibition, Ishartini ensured that while in Boston, KKP representatives would hold a number of meetings with the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Fisheries Institute (NFI), and International Pole and Line Foundation (IPNLF).
