Jatim Newsroom – East Java Governor, Khofifah Indar Parawansa is optimistic that efforts to increase food self-sufficiency will be achieved again in 2023. This is in line with the skyrocketing production of food commodities in various sectors. East Java’s capture fisheries production and fisheries exports were recorded as the highest in Indonesia in 2022.

Based on data from the Fish Quarantine Center for Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Products (BKIPMHP), the export of East Java fishery commodities to foreign countries in 2022 was the highest nationally, reaching 381,477 tons with an export value of 2,602,492,056 USD.

After East Java, is DKI Jakarta with a total export of 303,037 tons, then South Sulawesi 190,753 tons, then Central Java 59,216 tons, and North Sumatra with a total export of 49,889 tons.
